About a year ago, I was visiting New York City for the first time with my friend Lyza. After a small amount of coaxing, she accompanied me to the top of the World Trade Center. I got the best view of the Statue of Liberty that I'd get on that trip, and saw the entire city spread out below me. We leaned over the edge and listened to the window washer work the crowd and tell how many thousands of windows there were and how it took a week to do each side.

Maybe they weren't washing this week.

Here's an interesting story about a man who was working at the WTC on the 11th.

I think it was $11 to take the tour...I believe we got by a little bit cheaper with our questionable student IDs.
Lyza, in the very long line for entrance to the tour.

My fascination with vehicles required that I take a shot of the boats.
Liberty and Ellis Islands. They'll never steal these views from our minds.
Liberty Island, and more of the Harbor

I was quite pleased with myself for having made it so far from Greenwood, MS.
The sun was very bright that day...but I insisted on getting Liberty in the background. We squinted and did our best. Again...thanks for coming along, Lyza.
